Frequently Asked Questions
How does
the sliding scale work?
Patients
bring in proof of income, usually
three
consecutive
paycheck
stubs or the most recent tax return for everyone in their household
that brings in income. For patients without this documentation,
our administrative staff can assist you. Once a patient’s
income is established, our staff can determine which sliding
scale category
you fall into and then calculate the discount you are eligible
to receive.
Are you a free clinic?
No. We believe in all patients contributing
toward the cost of their health care. However, you will never be
denied care based on not being able to pay at your time of visit.
What if I need to be referred to a specialist?
Our clinics have
extensive arrangements in place with both local and regional specialists
and can assist you in accessing this care.
Sometimes I feel like my life is falling apart. Who can I talk
to?
Both
of our clinical sites have full-time behavioral health experts
and case managers available to help with problems our patients
may have.
You can
schedule an
appointment with them or just ask to talk to any member of the
clinic team at any time.
My
medicines are so expensive. Can the clinics help?
Yes. For patients
of our organization, we have several different options to assist
with expensive medicines. Tell your health practitioner while at
the clinic that you would like help with your medicines.
